Overview

NavOn offers comprehensive assessments for children, youth, and adults to determine if a person has Autism Spectrum Disorder.

What is the process?

Assessments to determine whether an individual has ASD usually requires about 3 to 4 appointments where standardized measures like the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule 2 (ADOS-2) are completed. During these appointments, measures of cognitive functioning, and emotional functioning are also completed to better understand the person’s strengths and problem areas. Clinical interviews and rating scales measuring independence skills, social skills, and communication and a review of reports from other healthcare and education professionals are reviewed to round out this comprehensive assessment. After the assessment, a feedback meeting is held to share the results of the assessment, followed by a comprehensive report that includes recommendations.

What is the cost?

Costs for an assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder are typically $4000. Half of the assessment cost is billed prior to the first appointment and the rest is billed at the end prior to feedback.

NavOn accepts payment by e-transfer, cheque, credit card (2.4% surcharge applies for credit card payments).
